Computer Chess World Championship in Beijing

WCCC AmsterdamFrom September 28th until October 5th 2008 the 16th World Computer Chess Championships are played in Beijing, China. Deep Shredder will compete trying to win his 13th computer chess world champion title. Deep Shredder will run on an 8 core computer kindly provided by transtec.

We will transmit all Shredder games here on live on the Internet. You donít have to install any software to follow the game, your Internet browser is all you need. Just visit our live transmission applet from Beijing. You also donít have to manually request the moves by frequently reloading the page. Every new move will be automatically sent to your computer without almost any delay.

Nine rounds will be played. The times are local Chinese Time (GMT +8:00). Subtract 12 hours for New York time and 15 hours for Los Angeles time.

  • 1nd round: Su, 28.9. 4:00pm - 9:00pm
  • 2rd round: Mo, 29.9. 10:00am - 3:00pm
  • 3th round: Mo, 29.9. 4:00pm - 9:00pm
  • 4th round: Tu, 30.9. 8:00am - 1:00pm
  • 5th round: We, 1.10. 1:00pm - 6:00pm
  • 6th round: Fr, 3.10. 10:00am - 3:00pm
  • 7th round: Fr, 3.10. 4:00pm - 9:00pm
  • 8th round: Sa, 4.10. 10:00am - 3:00pm
  • 9th round: Sa, 4.10. 4:00pm - 9:00pm

During the rounds the moves will be transmitted automatically. After a round you can replay the games directly in your browser or download them to your computer.
